Happy Monday. After last week and the passing of Ed McMahon, Farrah, The King of Pop and Billy Mays, I think we can all agree with the sentiment of one of our local radio hosts who always says, “It’s good to be alive!”
Can you believe that the year is halfway over? Time is just flying by. Seems like we were just celebrating Christmas and now it’s July.
I know many of us will be having family and friends gathering to celebrate the July 4th holiday, so I thought I’d share some recipes early in the week to help with planning. All are from my favorite – Southern Living. First, some wonderful sandwhich recipes from Southern Living . While burgers and hot dogs may rule on the 4th, if guests and family are in for the long weekend, these are a nice change.
If you’re hosting a get together, don’t you just love this silveware caddy idea picture above? For July 4th I would wrap some in red rubberbands and others in blue and white. Too cute!
Here are 21 recipes for some yummy salad from Southern Living. And if you love fresh-from-the-garden summer tomatoes like I do, you’ll love these recipes!
Hope this helps with your holiday menu planning. I know I’m looking forward to celebrating with family and friends in Georgia! I leave tomorrow.
