It’s not even August yet but the other day I saw that a tree branch that hangs out over the pond in our back yard had
leaves that were changing colors and dropping into the pond! HOW can that be???? Summer’s not over.
I am not ready for fall and winter! {Where we live, winter can start as early as October and end in mid-April!!} The proof is in this photo {right}:
Really, how depressing is that? Are you seeing any signs of fall where you live?
That same day I went outside to the front gardens and there I found a perfect hydrangea! I love blue hydrangea when they still have that hint of beautiful citron green. I snapped a shot to help balance out the bad {changing leaves} with the good!
Some of my blue hydrangea are starting to get a little pinkish, purple. I know that means I need to do something to amend the soil – does anyone have any tried and true methods for keeping your hydrangea blue?
I love having a garden upfront – the flowers seem so friendly and welcoming. They are a great way to dress up the exterior of a house and add a little curb appeal. Sadly, our front gardens need some professional help! I just got a name of a landscape designer who I am going to call ASAP. We need a plan that we can implement over the next few years!

I too thought I noticed some leaves changing color, but I thought it was just my insanity acting up again.
I guess we’re going crazy together!
