Say It Ain’s So!

It’s not even August yet but the other day I saw that a tree branch that hangs out over the pond in our back yard hadchanging leaves words 300x225 Say It Ains So! leaves that were changing colors and dropping into the pond! HOW can that be???? Summer’s not over.

I am not ready for fall and winter! {Where we live, winter can start as early as October and end in mid-April!!} The proof is in this photo {right}:

Really, how depressing is that? Are you seeing any signs of fall where you live?

That same day I went outside to the front gardens and there I found a perfect hydrangea! I love blue hydrangea when they still have that hint of beautiful citron green.  I snapped a shot to help balance out the bad {changing leaves} with the good!perfect hydrangea 225x300 Say It Ains So!

Some of my blue hydrangea are starting to get a little pinkish, purple. I know that means I need to do something to amend the soil – does anyone have any tried and true methods for keeping your hydrangea blue?

I love having a garden upfront – the flowers seem so friendly and welcoming. They are a great way to dress up the exterior of a house and add a little curb appeal. Sadly, our front gardens need some professional help! I just got a name of a landscape designer who I am going to call ASAP. We need a plan that we can implement over the next few years!

I too thought I noticed some leaves changing color, but I thought it was just my insanity acting up again.
