That’s the opening of The Pleasures of a Porch article in MidWest Magazine starts. Sigh . . . Is it just me or does a pretty porch make you swoon?
Perhaps it’s because the porch harkens back to simpler times when we knew our neighbors, caught fireflies in the summer, and were all proud to be Americans.
It’s this time of year when my heart turns to our porch and all its wasted potential. So much to do . . . so little time!
