If you love picking your way thru tag sales to find treasures, this is your weekend! Here in NE Ohio, today starts our 500-mile yard sale along the Historic Lincoln Way.
This is the 6th annual “Buy-Way,” sale. The idea started in Ohio but now spands from West Virgina to Indiana and even into Illinois and Iowa! Last year there were more than 1,000 sales in Ohio alone!
The Lincoln Way was America’s first coast-to-coast paved road which originally ran from Times Square in New York to Lincoln Park in San Francisco.
If you’re a bargain hunter like I am, you’re going to have fun this weekend! The closest point for me is about a 90-minute drive to the Wooster area. (On the map, I’m up near the top, right of center.)
Wooster is a charming little town that epitomizes Main Street America. I’d really like to head down there this weekend if I get a chance. Today and tomorrow are booked but maybe Saturday! If you’re in Ohio, are you heading to the sale?
