Well, it’s April 6th and we are sitting here on the North Coast with 6+ inches of snow and still it falls. Honestly, it’s depressing . . . all we really want is the warmth and sunshine of spring and Old Man Winter won’t leave us alone. Seriously, I just want to kick the old man senseless. But, as my mom who is visiting from Georgia says, “It could be worse.” Well, that easy for a former Ohioan turned Georgian can say when she sees snow on TV or once or twice ayear when she visits us.
It is true, it could be worse. The kitchen remodel is basically completed (minus the tile around the range, decorating, drapes and a few items on the punch list.)
At least we have the new kitchen fireplace to keep us warm (sorry, not the greatest photo) and the Bialetti for the “best hot cocoa evur” as my 5-year old niece Maddie, visiting from Georgia on spring break, says.

Oh my goodness! This is one of the best kitchen makeovers i have ever seen! It is elegant, yet cozy and warm and inviting. Of course the fireplace is the clencher, but i also love the curtain under the sink! Would u mind telling us the deminsions of the kitchen after you were all done? I am wondering what is a realistic size of kitchen would need to be to have a fireplace as wonderful as that!
