small bedroom l 300x225 Great Greens!Top ‘o the mornin’ to ya & happy St. Patty’s day! To keep with the green theme of the day, thought I’d share a few great green paint colors that’ll have you counting your lucky charms!

Kermit the Frog once sang that it’s not easy being green but that’s not the case with green rooms. Green is a wonderful neutral that is warm and versatile. Here are some of my favorites:

Rosemary Sprig, #2144-30 Benjamin Moore Paints

Whenver I use Rosemary Sprig in a room, people always want to know what color it is because they want it in their home. This is a medium-tone sagey green that looks terrific with just about any design style. Here you see it in a dining room I staged. The walls had been painted a soft yellow. This could be THE perfect green for you!

Barrington Green (left)  is a rich, saturated green that looks fabulous on front doors! If you have a brick home, this is a wonderful complement to the brick.

 Potpourri Green, #2029-50

This soothing green will visually cool a space down, creating a relaxing, calm spa-like environment. potpourri green 2029 502 234x300 Great Greens!

Wales Green, #2028-50

Wales is a 180 from our calm, soothing potporri. Wales is full of energy and Z-I-N-G! If you want a pop of color that has a lot of kick - give Wales a try!

Rice Paddy, #6414
Sherwin Williams
(Not pictured)

This is the shade of green I painted my office. (I’d show you a photo but right now our entire house, including my office, is a disaster. Everything has been displaced due to the kitchen remodel and the flood I had in my office). Rice Paddy is a yellow green a great neutral but with a fresh, sophisticated feel to it.

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Love the green in the top picture (bedroom)…not clear on the name. Is it potpourri?

When I found this photo it did not say what color the paint was. From the picture it certainly looks like a yellow green – similar colors would be Rice Paddy (SW6414 – Sherwin Williams), Pale Sea Mist (2147-50 Benjamin Moore) or Wales Green (2028-50 Benjamin Moore). I think Potpourri Green from Benjamin Moore is a bit too cool with not enough yellow but it is always tricky just looking at a photo because the lighting changes the true paint color.
