Heaven on earth. If there is such a place, it just might be Kamalame Cay: a 96-acre private island in the Bahamas. An acquaintance of ours who is a travel writer told me about her visit to Kamalame Cay two winters ago and now it’s on my list of places to go. I’m hooked!
Imagine three miles of sugary-soft white sand and a handful of gracefully-decorated island villas just steps from the beach. Imagine being rocked to sleep by the rythmic lap of waves while the soft scent of cocoa butter wafts through the air. That’s Kamalame Cay.
Yes, it’s a fantasy – at least for me because the price tag on these private beach cottages go from $760/night to $1450/night depending on when you book your trip and if you have their food plan. . . but a girl can dream, right? Dreams are free ;o) Of course, there are less expensive options for accommodations, but these beach cottages are too perfect. . . .
So let’s just take a moment to imagine, relax and dream. Dream of perfect Bahama days and romantic Bahama nights. . .
.
I think it’s good to visit these beautiful places, even if it’s just virtually. There’s so much stress and uncertainty in our world right now. It’s good to be reminded of all the beauty that surrounds us.

Sounds like a wonderful place…, I’m dreaming right now…, the Bahamas in general have some pretty good spots like the Pink Beach Resort too.
I love that beach house — the shape, the French doors, and the color! Thank you for sharing these photographs. ~Arleen
