Fantasy Friday: Kamalame Cay

beach starfish1 300x240 Fantasy Friday: Kamalame CayHeaven on earth. If there is such a place, it just might be Kamalame Cay: a 96-acre private island  in the Bahamas. An acquaintance of ours who is a travel writer told me about her visit to Kamalame Cay two winters ago and now it’s on my list of places to go. I’m hooked!beach cottage kamalame 300x225 Fantasy Friday: Kamalame Cay

Imagine three miles of sugary-soft white sand and a handful of gracefully-decorated island villas just steps from the beach. Imagine being rocked to sleep by the rythmic lap of waves while the soft scent of cocoa butter wafts through the air. That’s Kamalame Cay.beach cottage and beach 200x300 Fantasy Friday: Kamalame Cay

beach cottage inside1 200x300 Fantasy Friday: Kamalame CayYes, it’s a fantasy – at least for me because the price tag on these private beach cottages go from $760/night to $1450/night depending on when you book your trip and if you have their food plan. . . but a girl can dream, right? Dreams are free ;o) Of course, there are less expensive options for accommodations, but these beach cottages are too perfect. . . .

So let’s just take a moment to imagine, relax and dream. Dream of perfect Bahama days and romantic Bahama nights. . .beach sunset 300x199 Fantasy Friday: Kamalame Cay .

I think it’s good to visit these beautiful places, even if it’s just virtually. There’s so much stress and uncertainty in our world right now. It’s good to be reminded of all the beauty that surrounds us.

Sounds like a wonderful place…, I’m dreaming right now…, the Bahamas in general have some pretty good spots like the Pink Beach Resort too.

Ladies,

This morning I woke up to SNOW on the ground. It’s almost April! So depressing – you just don’t know how I wish I was at Kamalame Cay right now!

Hi Diana!

Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures! You are right, one can dream! So while it continues to snow (in April!), I will focus on the sunset picture! Don’t tell B.J. though since I am at work… :)
