Fall: In The Air & In The Stores

by Diana @ The Devine Home on Friday, September 3, 2010

In some ways it makes me sad – seeing the end of summer and the approach of fall.

Don’t get me wrong, I have always loved the fall season. However, the longer I am here back living on the North Coast, the more spring is my favorite season because it’s the farthest from winter.

Tonight our low will be 54 degrees and tomorrow’s high will struggle to get into the mid 60s!!!

As I sit here in the living room typing this post, leaves have been falling from our trees and our deck is nearly covered with amber curling leaves.

When I was out shopping for a client yesterday, I snapped this photo of one of the beautiful fall tablescapes at Williams-Sonoma. It is just such a striking table with the colors, textures and pattern.

I love how they are using the long bread boards as chargers under the place settings.

And I am always a sucker for artisan loaves of bread and basil on a rustic cutting board.

The hammered copper bucket with greenery adds a nice bit of sparkle as well as some nice texture. And I love the patterned plates.  They are from the Williams-Sonoma Italian Recipe plate collection.
