We love entertaining and having friends and family over and am always looking for ideas to help make entertaining enjoyable and simple. So I just love this “simple entertaining” idea from Sunday Suppers - perfect for the upcoming fall season.
I just love the clever but simple idea of printing menus on brown paper bags that are attached to the fabric napkin with an old-fashioned mini clothes pin. Great color combination and wonderful texture.
How clever to use mini Ball jars for water glasses? The burlap table cloth and vintage silverware are great touches. I can totally see using this theme for all your fall entertaining.
The bags serve double duty: guests fill them with seasonal peaches for their party favor.
We have three orchards just down the street from us. I could pick a locally-grown apples which would make tasteful take homes!
Of course, blueberries, strawberries or some of your wonderful home-grown tomatoes would be perfect too!
Wouldn’t your girl friends totally appreciate a brunch, lunch or dinner with all these simple touches?

I guess Sunday suppers, particularly during school season, are the same everywhere. Guests would probably end with pb&j’s in a bag from our house.
