Welcome friends from Julia’s “Hooked On” Friday party!

We love entertaining and having friends and family over and am always looking for ideas to help make entertaining enjoyable and simple. So I just love this “simple entertaining” idea from Sunday Suppers - perfect for the upcoming fall season.

I just love the clever but simple idea of printing menus on brown paper bags that are attached to the fabric napkin with an old-fashioned mini clothes pin. Great color combination and wonderful texture.

The bags serve double duty: guests fill them with seasonal peaches for their party favor.sundaysuppers market menu 004 Entertaining Simply

We have three orchards just down the street from us.  I could pick a locally-grown apples which would make tasteful take homes!

Of course, blueberries, strawberries or some of your wonderful home-grown tomatoes would be perfect too!

Wouldn’t your girl friends totally appreciate a brunch, lunch or dinner with all these simple touches?

Got great entertaining ideas for fall?? Leave a comment and tell us about them.

I guess Sunday suppers, particularly during school season, are the same everywhere. Guests would probably end with pb&j’s in a bag from our house.
