Creative Headboard Idea

by Diana @ The Devine Home on January 16, 2010

In the category of, “you never know where inspiration will come from . . . .”

I was on Martha Stewart’s website and came across this carpet square bulletin board - isn’t it a great idea? They just used a staple gun to attach the squares to the wall – the staples disappear into the carpet fibers.

Immediately, my mind jumped to how wonderful this “bulletin board” would translate into a headboard!

I have a box of these carpet squares from FLOR sitting in my garage even as we speak. . . . hummmmm, doesn’t this just get the creative juices flowing?

I love simple and cheap DIY projects like this one. I would try to fix it to the wall with some Velcro instead of staple gun.

These squares are pretty heavy – you could try Velcro – just not sure if it would work and it would raise the profile of the carpet tiles off the wall a bit because of the thickness of the male/female Velcro strips.

Yeah, you’re leaving a comment, thanks! They are simply devine & make my day!
