The unfortunate reality is, when I get home, my interest in maintaining personal files and bills, etc. ranges from zero to null. Somewhere, deep in my heart, I am deeply satisfied by a well-organized home (everything in its place and all that) but if the storage isn't pretty, and if I can't find things immediatly, really, I kind of prefer them in plain sight, at least until the clutter makes me twitch.
